PRAISE MY SOUL, THE KING OF HEAVEN

1. Praise my soul, the King of heaven,
To His feet thy tribute bring;
Ransomed, healed, restored, forgiven,
Evermore His praises sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise the Everlasting King.

2. Praise Him for His grace and favour
To our father in distress;
Praise Him, still the same for ever,
Slow to chide and swift to bless
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Glorious in His Faithfulness

3. Father like, He tends and spares us,
Well our feeble frame he knows;
In His Hands He gently bears us.
Rescues us from all our foes;
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Widely yet His mercy flows.

4. Angel in the height adores Him!
Ye behold Him face to face
Saints triumphant, bow before Him,
Gathered in from every race:
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise, with us the God of grace.

  11. English version of omitted stanza four:
    Just like grass, our lives be compared
    Which can faint when the wind blows
    For a while we live and we die
    But the Lord remains the same
    Praise Him (4x) Praise the Everlasting king
